What this site collects
If you fill in the contact form on the home page, you send your name, email address, phone number, the province you live in, your preferred session format, and whatever you choose to write in the message field. The enquiry form on the group therapy page asks for less: name, email, an optional phone number, and your message.
Your province is needed because I can only work with clients located where I am permitted to practise; the format answer is used to offer you a suitable time. Please do not include detailed health information in the form - a first message only needs enough for me to call or write back.
How it is used
Your message is used solely to answer you and to arrange a consultation. It is never sold, rented, or shared for marketing.
Group therapy enquiries
An enquiry from the group therapy page reaches me the same way as any other and is marked so I know which programme you are asking about. It is not shared with other group members, and being on a waiting list is never disclosed to anyone. If you join a group, confidentiality within the group - what members agree to keep private - is explained and agreed before the first meeting.
Where it goes
The form submission is delivered to me through a private server function and a secure messaging channel. It is not stored in a public database and the website itself keeps no copy.
Enquiries that do not lead to therapy are deleted once the conversation has ended.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. These tools set cookies and record an approximate location and device type. They do not identify you by name and are not linked to anything you write in the form. You can block them with your browser settings or an ad blocker.
Clinical records
Once therapy begins, clinical records are kept separately from this website, under the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and the standards of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Confidentiality and its legal limits are explained in full before the first session.
Your rights
You may ask what information about you is held, ask for a correction, or ask for it to be deleted. Write or call and it will be handled promptly.
